As a general practitioner, you will provide primary healthcare services, supporting patients across all stages of life. You will work alongside nurse practitioners, nurse, allied health and community partners to deliver accessible high-quality healthcare.
Provide comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, treatment and ongoing management of patients
Deliver preventative healthcare, health promotion and chronic disease management
Develop and maintain trusted relationships with patients and whānau
Collaborate effectively with other health professionals and community services
Maintain accurate clinical records and meet professional and regulatory requirements
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to service development
Support equitable health outcomes with a focus on culturally safe and whānau centred care
The South Taranaki Rural Health General Practice,locatedat Hāwera Hospital, is a modern service run by a team of senior skilled clinicians such as general practitioners, nurse practitioners, practice nurses, and rural/urgent care doctors. We aim to provide a welcoming, safe environment for all with a focus on equity and patient-centred care.

To be successful, you will have:
Vocational registration as a general practitioner
Previousexperience in a rural setting/general practiceworking in an acute,complexand chronic condition management model
