Job summary

Auckland Council is seeking a Manager Holiday Park Ōrewa to lead the iconic Ōrewa Beach Holiday Park in a permanent, full-time, on-site role. You will oversee operations, commercial performance, and people leadership to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

Location: Orewa, New Zealand – onsite. Salary: $82,917 – $92,130 per annum. Apply by 21 October. You will coordinate with council teams and external partners to drive growth and maintain high service standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of management and business experience in customer-service, hospitality, tourism or a small-business-related environment.
• Strong sound financial-management acumen (budgeting, forecasting and reporting).
• Excellent communication skills and ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of customers, stakeholders and team members.
• Proven experience leading holiday park, campground, accommodation, tourism or hospitality operations.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day operations, driving business performance, and ensuring the park operates to the highest standards.
• Identifying growth opportunities, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and continuous improvement.
• People leadership, team development and maintaining a high-performing culture.
• Health and safety, regulatory compliance, industry best practice, financial performance, occupancy, and customer service outcomes.
• Strategic planning and stakeholder relationships with industry partners, local businesses, mana whenua and community organisations.
