Job summary

Auckland Council’s Parks & Community Service department is seeking a friendly, reliable Night Caretaker for Whangateau Holiday Park. This 5-month fixed-term, part-time role offers 36 hours per week across three 12-hour night shifts, with a rotating roster. The fixed term runs 9 November 2026 to 2 April 2027.

Shifts typically 8:00pm–8:00am, Sundays to Tuesdays, with flexibility for other nights. The park is open 7 days during peak season; the role pays a living wage of $29.90 per hour.

Qualifications

• Experience in security, hospitality or caretaker roles preferred.
• Strong communication and guest service is essential.
• Able to work night shifts and multi-night rosters.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking park security and managing noise levels.
• Assist guests with late check-ins and provide night-time support.
• Locking up and cleaning duties as needed.
