Are you an experienced commercial construction leader ready to take on a General Manager role for a well-established commercial construction company?

We're working with an established Christchurch main contractor seeking an experienced General Manager to help lead the business through its next stage of growth.

This role will suit someone who understands construction from the ground up, ideally having started on the tools before progressing into senior management. You'll be comfortable engaging with everyone from tradespeople on site through to clients and Directors.

Alongside overseeing operations and project delivery, you'll play an important role in strengthening client relationships, identifying new opportunities and supporting business growth.

What you'll bring:

• Proven experience with a commercial main contractor, delivering projects valued at $50M+ (must have)
• Ideally a trade background with progression into senior leadership
• Strong commercial acumen and operational leadership experience
• Excellent relationship management and business development skills
• A practical, approachable leadership style with the ability to build relationships at all levels
