Job summary

Port Marlborough continues to invest in its infrastructure and assets, creating an excellent opportunity for an adaptable General Engineer to join its Workshop team in Waitohi/Picton.

Reporting to the Mechanical Lead, youll undertake a broad range of engineering, maintenance and construction work across the Ports facilities, including welding, hydraulic work, water reticulation, plant maintenance and scheduled inspections.

Qualifications

• A relevant engineering trade qualification is required.
• A full New Zealand drivers licence is required.
• Experience with welding and general maintenance is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Undertake a broad range of engineering, maintenance and construction work across Port Marlborough facilities.
• Perform welding, hydraulic work, water reticulation and plant maintenance.
• Conduct scheduled inspections and infrastructure repairs as required.
• Support 24/7 emergency cover as part of rostered on-call duties.
