Job summary

Asset Engineering Limited in Tauranga is seeking a General / Maintenance Engineer to join our busy workshop and site-based team. You will perform planned and preventive maintenance, breakdown repairs and fault finding across a range of plant and equipment.

This varied role also involves fabrication, welding, installation of guards, platforms and steelwork, plus on-site servicing for diverse clients throughout the Bay of Plenty.

Qualifications

• Strong commitment to health and safety.
• Mechanical maintenance or general engineering experience.
• Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Fabrication and welding experience.
• Full NZ Driver Licence.

Responsibilities

• Planned and preventative maintenance of plant and equipment.
• Breakdown maintenance and fault finding.
• Diagnosing mechanical and operational faults.
• General fabrication and welding.
• Manufacturing and installation of maintenance items including guards, platforms and steps, handrails, and general steelwork.
• Installation and repair work on customer sites.
• Working independently and as part of the wider engineering team.
