Job summary

Humankind Kinderopvang en -ontwikkeling seeks an Engineering Integration Manager to lead the port infrastructure integration for a major NZ programme. This full-time, on-site role in Wellington requires broad engineering leadership across marine, civil, structural, mechanical and electrical domains.

You will govern interfaces, manage risks, align with delivery partners and drive handover to operations with robust documentation and approval processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) is essential.
• CPEng or eligibility highly desirable.
• 10+ years of delivering large, multidisciplinary infrastructure projects.
• Experience across engineering consultancies and Tier 1 builders.
• Proven experience in transport, maritime or heavy infrastructure projects.
• Strong systems integration and cross‑organisational coordination.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead programme-wide engineering integration requirements and information standards.
• Maintain visibility of engineering risks, dependencies and constraints.
• Provide whole-system oversight across marine, civil, structural, mechanical, electrical interfaces.
• Define interface ownership, evidence requirements, escalation routes and closure criteria.
• Facilitate cross-party information dependencies and technical decisions.
• Lead engineering change and configuration management through delivery.
• Support governance, testing, handover and operational readiness.
• Prepare monthly dashboards on design maturity and risks.
• Ensure timely handover to operations and readiness of manuals.
