About the Role

Our client is seeking a motivated and physically fit General Construction Worker to join their team, supporting various projects in and around Queenstown . This role is essential for assisting skilled tradespeople and performing a range of manual labor tasks necessary for the completion of construction projects. The ideal candidate will be a hard worker, willing to learn, and capable of performing demanding physical tasks in diverse site conditions. This position offers a valuable opportunity to gain experience in the construction field and contribute to the development of the Eastern Cape community, working within a team that prioritizes safety and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist skilled tradespeople (carpenters, bricklayers, electricians, etc.) with their tasks as directed.
• Perform manual labor, including digging trenches, loading and unloading materials, and operating basic tools.
• Prepare construction sites by cleaning and removing debris.
• Mix concrete, mortar, and other construction materials.
• Operate and maintain basic construction equipment and tools safely.
• Follow all health and safety regulations and site-specific procedures.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a construction or general labor role is advantageous but not essential.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Willingness to learn and follow instructions accurately.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
