Job summary

Citycare Property in Wellington is seeking an experienced Gardener to help maintain the grounds of a unique location. Your horticultural expertise and attention to detail will be valued daily in this role.

You will work independently, maintain heritage gardens and trees, and ensure seasonal planting and care. A Full Class 1 driver licence is required, with competitive salary and opportunities for professional development.

Responsibilities

• Maintain heritage gardens, lawns, beds, and landscapes to a high standard.
• Care for diverse established trees and preserve landscape presentation.
• Seasonal planting, pruning, mulching, weed control and plant care.
• Preserve heritage values of the Wellington destination.
• Identify and address plant health issues early.
• Operate horticultural equipment safely and efficiently.
• Contribute ideas to improve garden presentation and visitor experience.

• Maintain heritage gardens, lawns, garden beds, and landscaped areas to an exceptional standard.

• Carry out seasonal planting, pruning, mulching, weed control, and plant care.
• Help preserve the character, presentation, and heritage values of an iconic Wellington destination.
• Identify and address plant health issues before they become problems.
• Operate horticultural equipment safely and efficiently.
• Contribute ideas that improve garden presentation and visitor experience
