Job summary

XE Christchurch is expanding its technology team and seeking hands-on Full Stack Developers to work on payments, FX and multi-currency services within a global fintech platform. You’ll join a product-focused squad, collaborate with peers, and own meaningful features end-to-end.

We value developers with strong frontend and backend skills, experience in C#/.NET and modern JS frameworks, and a pragmatic, collaborative approach. Hybrid office presence required in Christchurch CBD.

Qualifications

• Strong experience building production web applications.
• Solid frontend and backend development experience.
• Proficiency in C#/.NET or Java/Kotlin/Go.
• Experience with Vue.js/React or similar modern JS framework.
• Strong SQL and relational database fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Building and shipping full stack features across frontend, backend, APIs, and databases.
• Working on payments, FX, onboarding, settlement, KYC/KYB, and multi-currency services.
• Developing frontend features using Vue.js or another modern JavaScript framework.
• Building backend services using C#/.NET.
• Working with SQL and relational databases.
• Supporting services in production, including reliability, observability, and incident response.
• Using AWS services and modern deployment practices.
• Writing and maintaining tests as part of your development process.
• Using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot as part of your workflow.
• Helping modernise legacy systems into XE’s modern platform stack.
• Contributing to technical design discussions and mentoring when appropriate.
