Job summary

Mitre10 MEGA Kapiti on the Kapiti Coast is seeking a hands-on team leader to run two service desks, train staff, and ensure smooth front-end operations including POS and special orders.

You will guide checkout operators, support SAP migration, manage change, weekends, and deliver a positive customer experience with a solutions-first mindset; remuneration is competitive and staff buying privileges are offered.

• Proven experience leading a team in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Strong customer‑focused approach and problem solving.
• Experience with point‑of‑sale systems and adapting to new technology.
• Comfortable handling high‑volume, varied customer interactions under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Lead, roster and develop a team of checkout operators across two service desks.
• Own day-to-day front-end operations, including customer flow and POS systems.
• Train new hires quickly and effectively amid higher turnover.
• Handle special orders, returns, complaints and delivery inquiries with a solutions-first approach.
• Act as a super user for SAP migration, training the wider team and management.
