Job summary

Green by Nature looks for a commercially driven Business Development Specialist to own front-end funnel Gate-1 and Gate-0, qualify opportunities, and handover to the Business Development Manager. This hands-on role focuses on identifying, qualifying, and converting early-stage opportunities into credible commercial prospects.

• Proven experience in a business development, sales, or lead generation role.
• Strong prospecting skills across multiple channels including cold calling, LinkedIn, and networking.
• Ability to engage credibly with senior stakeholders and decision-makers.
• Structured and process-driven approach to opportunity qualification.
• Excellent communication, listening, and relationship-building skills.
• Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively alongside a Business Development Manager.

Responsibilities

• Identify and prioritise target sectors, companies, and decision-makers aligned with Green by Nature's service offering.
• Open doors through targeted research, LinkedIn outreach, professional networking, warm introductions, and confident cold calling.
• Convert early conversations, referrals, and inbound leads into credible, well-qualified commercial opportunities.
• Validate each opportunity at Gate 1 by confirming the following criteria: Customer need and service fit; Stakeholder access and engagement; Opportunity value and commercial potential; Likely work-start date; Buying process and decision-making structure; Competitive landscape; Clear and agreed next action.
• Deliver a live, evidence-based handover to the Business Development Manager upon reaching Gate 1.
• Remain available to support account intelligence and relationship access as opportunities progress through the funnel.
