Job summary

Euro Staffs in Auckland, NZ seeks a mature forklift operator for a full-time, on-site role. You will perform pre-checks, move vehicles, load/unload, and maintain safety in a high-risk environment.

Requires NZ Class 1/2 forklift license with F endorsement, strong numeracy, teamwork, and ability to work six days a week. NZ residency or valid NZ work visa essential.

• Report damages to racks or faulty equipment to the Manager.

This Full time on site position offers great opportunities for career growth.

You must be mature enough and have prior experience in forklift operation because you are going to work in a high-pace and high-risk health & safety environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Performing pre-check to ensure suitable working nature or forklift equipment.
• Moving controls, devices, and levers to drive forklifts to move vehicles between vehicle unloading, loading, and vehicle storage areas.
• Loading and unloading vehicles.
• Writing Numbers on the vehicles, taking pictures of the incoming vehicles and upload the images to the groups through WhatsApp.
• Reporting to Manager regarding any damage to racks, faulty equipment, or any other safety hazards.
• Consulting, working and coordinating with supervisors, managers, and employees regarding unloading and loading operations.
• Perform general clean-up tasks to keep work area clean and free of excess debris.
• Must feel comfortable working in fast-paced and High-Risk health and safety environment.
• This position will require you to work in and around Car Yard, therefore your attitude and commitment towards safety in the workplace for yourself, your colleagues and the customers is of utmost importance.

Skills:

• A full New Zealand Class 1 or 2 drivers license with F endorsement certificate
• Excellent teamwork skills.
• Ability to read labels and numbers.
• Ability to operate in fast-paced and high-risk health & safety environment.
• Ability to add, subtract, and multiply.
• Good physical health.
• Able to follow instructions as directed by the supervisor or the Manager.
• Must have a sense of responsibility to accomplish tasks without supervision.
• Physical ability to periodically lift heavy objects.
• Should have strong hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to work 6 days -Monday to Saturday.
• So previous experience working shifts is preferred
• Extensive experience in fork hoist operation working in Car Yard
• A reasonable level of physical fitness to meet the demands of the role and happy to work outdoors
• Enjoy working to rules, regulations, and procedures -minimum 3 years work experience required -competitive hourly rate

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $27.76 – $38.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
