Job summary

Hawkins in Hamilton is seeking a Foreman to join our Central team on a major commercial project. You will lead on-site teams, ensure delivery to the highest standards, and support the project programme from site level.

The role requires 2–4 years as a Foreman, strong leadership, and a solid understanding of health and safety policies. A trade or tertiary qualification is preferred. Pre-employment drug test may apply.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years’ Foreman experience on major projects.
• Experience leading site teams and delivering projects on time.
• Solid understanding of relevant legislation and compliance standards.
• Strong planning skills and ability to work to programme.

The Role

Join us on our iconic project in Hamilton, where you’ll play a key role in our Central team and have the opportunity to grow and develop your career. We’re looking for someone with a strong commercial construction background, ideally in a Lead Carpenter or Foreman capacity, who has the drive and determination to deliver projects to the highest standard.

What You’ll Bring

• 2–4 years’ Foreman experience, ideally with a well-known main contractor
• Proven experience on projects ranging from $5M to $50M, with a successful track record of leading site teams and delivering excellence
• Solid understanding of relevant legislation and industry compliance standards
• Strong planning skills and ability to work to programme
• In-depth knowledge of construction methodologies
• A passion for Health & Safety, with the ability to enforce company policies and procedures
• Strong leadership and people skills, capable of managing complex stakeholder relationships positively
• A relevant trade or tertiary qualification (preferred, but not essential)
