Job summary

Fletcher Building Limited in Hamilton, Waikato is hiring an experienced Construction Manager to lead and grow the regional civil construction business. You’ll oversee major capital works, drive commercial performance, and manage client relationships from a base in Hamilton reporting to the Regional Manager.

You will lead a large construction team, support business development, and deliver operational excellence across the Waikato region, contributing to Higgins and Fletcher Construction

Qualifications

• Extensive proven experience in a similar type of role, with a key focus on capital works.
• Understanding of the technical, contractual and financial requirements involved in construction and maintenance contracts.
• Experience in tendering and commercial as well as budgeting, management of P&L and cost control.
• Strong business acumen & business development capability.
• Civil Engineering Degree desirable
• Proven track record in coaching and mentoring teams, communication and relationship management skills

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow the Waikato civil construction business.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Construction Manager to lead and grow our Waikato civil construction business.

Based in Hamilton and reporting to the Regional Manager, you will be a key member of the regional leadership team with responsibility for leading a large construction team.

You will oversee the delivery of major capital works and civil construction projects, while leading commercial performance, client relationships, business development, and operational delivery across the region.

What you’ll bring to the role:
