Job summary

Ingham, a New Zealand automotive group, is seeking a Service Manager to lead the Ford Service operation in Rotorua. This hands-on role focuses on performance, people, and process across workshop and parts, with emphasis on productivity, profitability, and customer experience.

The successful candidate will tighten and structure an existing operation, driving standards and consistent leadership to maximise outcomes and service quality for customers and staff alike.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Service Manager, Aftersales Manager, or similar role.
• Strong understanding of workshop flow, technician, and productivity.
• Hands-on environment experience, not just desk-based.
• Demonstrates structure, follows through, lifts standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day operation of Service.
• Drive workshop productivity, WIP control, and labour sales.
• Improve customer communication and overall experience.
• Set, track, and deliver departmental budgets and targets.
• Ensure Ford standards and processes are consistently met.
• Collaborate with front line to improve booking, workflow, and delivery.
• Build capability within the team, holding people accountable.
