Job summary

Turbo and Diesel Automotive Services Limited in Hamilton is seeking a Workshop Manager to lead a busy workshop serving diesel, petrol, 4WD and Class 2 vehicles. You don't need to be a mechanic; your job is to manage people, bookings and day-to-day operations to keep the workshop moving smoothly.

The role focuses on delivering great customer service, coordinating scheduling, and partnering with owners to improve systems.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading a team in a busy operational environment.
• Strong organisational and scheduling skills.
• Confident communicator with customer-facing experience.
• Comfortable using management software and basic reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operation of the workshop.
• Coordinate bookings, scheduling and job allocation.
• Lead and support technicians and front-of-house staff.
• Be main contact for customers, quotes and follow-ups.
• Maintain workflow to ensure timely vehicle completion.
• Uphold high standards of quality, safety and customer service.
• Monitor workshop performance using the management system.
• Collaborate with owners to improve systems and grow the business.
