Qualifications

• Certified Flight Dispatcher or equivalent certification.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly organized and safety-conscious Flight Dispatcher to join their team on a remote basis. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for the planning and oversight of flight operations, ensuring the safe, efficient, and legal operation of aircraft. You will work closely with pilots, air traffic control, and operational staff to manage flight plans, monitor weather conditions, and respond to emergencies. Key Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare flight schedules, considering weather, air traffic, aircraft performance, and regulatory requirements.
• Issue flight plans and clearances, ensuring all necessary operational information is communicated to flight crews.
• Monitor flight progress, track aircraft positions, and provide updates on weather, NOTAMs, and operational changes.
• Make decisions regarding flight diversions or cancellations in response to unforeseen circumstances such as adverse weather or operational issues.
• Maintain detailed logs and records of all flight dispatch activities and communications.
• Collaborate with maintenance, crew scheduling, and other operational departments to ensure seamless flight execution.

Requirements

• Certified Flight Dispatcher (e.g., SACAA Flight Dispatcher License) or equivalent international certification.
• Demonstrated experience in flight planning and dispatch operations.
• Strong knowledge of meteorology, air navigation, aircraft systems, and aviation regulations.
• Excellent decision-making skills and the ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.
• Proficiency in using flight planning software, weather analysis tools, and communication systems.
