Job summary

True South Flights Ltd in Queenstown invites a dedicated Flight Coordinator to join our team. You will be the key contact with supplier partners and ensure seamless customer journeys from booking to departure.

You’ll work with a passionate team to guarantee memorable scenic flight experiences, manage reservations, check-ins, loadsheets and coordination with maintenance. Previous travel/tourism admin experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years customer service experience.
• Moderate level of computer skills and online reservations experience.
• Ability to deal with people from all walks of life.
• Travel/tourism/hospitality industry experience preferred.
• Administration experience is advantageous.
• Experience with Rezdy is an asset.
• Ability to leverage marketing opportunities in bookings.

Responsibilities

• Meet customers and process daily departures to Milford Sound, Aoraki/Mt Cook, and Franz/Tasman Glaciers while coordinating bookings.
• Handle daily administration tasks including emails, calls from customers, suppliers, and agents, and reconciliation.
• Manage check-in procedures, coordinate shuttle pickups and ensure guests have required information.
• Manage reservations systems and flight loadsheets; liaise with maintenance coordinator.
• Provide solutions to customer coordination issues.

True South Flights is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Flight Coordinator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the key point of contact with our supplier partners, ensuring that every aspect of our customers' journey is seamless and memorable. You'll work closely with a passionate team to guarantee that each customer enjoys the ultimate scenic flight experience.

Key responsibilities

• Meet customers and process daily departures to Milford Sound, Aoraki/Mt Cook, and the Franz/Tasman Glaciers whilst processing and coordinating future bookings
• Daily administration tasks including emails, fielding phone calls from customers, third party suppliers, and agents, and reconciliation
• Check in procedures, ensuring customers are checked in and ready to go on time, coordinating courtesy shuttle pick ups, and ensuring customers have all information required for their tour
• Manage various reservations systems
• Flight following, preparing loadsheets, liaising with maintenance coordinator
• Problem solving solutions to customer coordination issues

About you

• Minimum 2 years customer service experience
• Moderate level of computer skills (essential) - you will be using online reservations, OTAs, website admin programs, Microsoft Office suite, Google Calendar
• Ability to deal with people from all walks of life (essential)
• Previous experience working in the travel/tourism/hospitality industry (preferred)
• Experience in a previous administration-based role (advantageous)
• Experience with Rezdy (asset)
• Good understanding of how to get the best from all the marketing opportunities (major asset)
