Job summary

Healthvision NZ is seeking compassionate, resilient support workers for South Canterbury Timaru and Ashburton. The role involves personal care, mobility assistance, community access, and medication support within a flexible, part-time roster.

Ideal candidates have care experience or relevant health qualifications, with a NZ driver’s license and a willingness to rotate shifts, including weekends. Training and onboarding are provided to new staff.

Qualifications

• Prior personal care experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with complex medical conditions is beneficial.
• Level 3/4 Health and Wellbeing qualification helpful.
• Access to a car and full NZ Driver's Licence is essential.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with personal cares (showering, bathing).
• Assisting with household management and meal preparation.
• Supporting exercise programmes.
• Assisting with accessing the community.
• Bowel, bladder, and catheter care.
• Moving and handling with hoists and manual transfers.
• Medication support.
