Job summary

Tauranga City Council is seeking a Digital Platforms and Applications Manager to lead a skilled team responsible for supporting and improving enterprise applications and digital platforms. You’ll ensure secure, reliable systems and drive continuous improvement across a complex technology environment.

Qualifications

• Experience leading technology support, customer service or service management functions.
• Extensive experience supporting and implementing SAP platforms and associated enterprise applications.
• ITIL Foundation certification or equivalent experience.
• Experience working in Agile, Waterfall or hybrid delivery environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Digital Platforms and Applications team and build capability.
• Oversee Level 2 and Level 3 support ensuring service levels.
• Drive operational stability and continuous improvement of critical platforms.
• Provide technical and people leadership across SAP and other enterprise apps.
• Manage platform lifecycle planning, upgrades, and technical debt.
• Ensure platforms remain secure, resilient and aligned with standards.
• Collaborate with delivery teams for smooth handover of new services.
• Build relationships with stakeholders, vendors and partners to improve outcomes.
• Provide insights and reporting on platform performance and risks.
• Help maximise value from enterprise technology investments.
