Job summary
Tauranga City Council is seeking a Digital Platforms and Applications Manager to lead a high‑performing team responsible for enterprise applications and digital platforms. You’ll drive stability, security, and continuous improvement across SAP and other critical systems to support our fast‑growing city.
In this senior role you’ll blend people leadership with technical credibility, work across service management frameworks, and collaborate with vendors and stakeholders to maximise value from
Qualifications
- Requires business or IT qualification or equivalent experience.
- Experience leading technology support, customer service or service management functions.
- Extensive experience supporting and implementing SAP platforms and enterprise applications.
- Strong knowledge of service management frameworks and best practice support processes (ITIL).
- Experience with Agile, Waterfall or hybrid delivery environments.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Digital Platforms and Applications team and foster collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Oversee Level 2 and Level 3 support to meet service levels and customer expectations.
- Drive operational stability, service quality and continuous improvement of key platforms.
- Provide technical and people leadership across SAP and other enterprise apps.
- Manage platform lifecycle planning, upgrades, patches and tech debt.
- Ensure platforms are secure, resilient and aligned with enterprise standards.
- Collaborate with delivery teams for smooth handover of new/updated services.
- Build relationships with stakeholders and vendors to improve outcomes.
- Provide insights and reporting on platform performance and risks.
