Job summary

Auckland Transport is seeking a Technical Lead Architect to guide solution decisions from concept to operational handover, shaping end-to-end technology across customer channels, enterprise apps, integration platforms and data products. You will lead architecture workstreams and engage senior stakeholders to define patterns and roadmaps.

We value cloud, security, APIs and enterprise platforms, with a focus on reusable capabilities and governance.

Qualifications

• 8+ years' experience in Solution Architecture or related discipline.
• Proven experience leading architecture activities across complex transformation and delivery initiatives.
• Strong experience delivering cloud-based, integration and enterprise application solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to engage and influence senior business and technology stakeholders.
• Experience working within architecture governance and delivery assurance frameworks.
• Experience working with third-party vendors, implementation partners and managed service providers.

Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture and design of complex business and technology initiatives.
• Develop solution architectures, high-level designs and Architecture Decision Records to guide delivery teams.
• Translate business outcomes and requirements into end-to-end technology solutions.
• Facilitate architecture workshops, design reviews and stakeholder engagement sessions.
• Define integration patterns, API strategies, data flows, security controls and operational requirements.
• Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture principles, standards and technology roadmaps.
• Partner with vendors, implementation partners and technical specialists to deliver high-quality outcomes.
• Promote reuse of enterprise capabilities, platforms, APIs and architecture patterns.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of architecture standards, governance practices and solution delivery methods.
