Job summary

Carters Tyre Service in Cromwell, NZ is seeking a Fleet Service Tyre Technician to join our Fleet Service team. You will manage tyres for client fleets, including callouts and after-hours work on trucks, utilities, and heavy equipment.

Qualifications

• Valid NZ driver's licence required.
• Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
• Ability to work unsupervised in a busy workshop.

Responsibilities

• Strip and fit tyres as required.
• Repair punctures per management guidelines.
• Perform fleet inspections and report unsafe tyres.
• Alert customers to vehicle faults in their fleet.
• Attend callouts / After Hours when required.
• Manage stock levels and retread requirements.
• Observe health and safety regulations and personal safety.
• Complete daily paperwork and record service details.
• Respond to tyre-related damage at varied locations.
• Prioritise workload for urgent high‑quality work.
• Maintain workspace and tools tidily.
