Job summary

WM New Zealand is seeking a Technical Support Engineer to shape the future of fleet technology across its diverse commercial fleet. You will design electrical systems, wiring harnesses, and embedded controls, collaborating with engineers, technicians, and suppliers to deploy innovative solutions in operational vehicles.

You will analyze data, support testing and deployment, and contribute to continuous improvement across the engineering lifecycle, from concept through to support.

Qualifications

Several years of engineering experience; intermediate level is ideal.
Experience with fleet technology, EVs, or automotive electronics is preferred.
Strong problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

Design and develop fleet technology solutions, including wiring harnesses and electrical systems.
Support prototype development, testing, and deployment activities.
Integrate sensors, telematics, and vehicle electronics into fleet applications.
Prepare technical documentation, specifications, and implementation plans.
