Job summary

WM New Zealand seeks an intermediate Technical Support Engineer to shape fleet technology across a diverse NZ fleet. You’ll design electrical systems, support prototype activities, and integrate sensors and telematics into fleet applications.

You will collaborate with engineers, technicians and operations to improve vehicle performance, reliability and safety, while contributing to continuous improvement across the engineering lifecycle.

Qualifications

• A few years of engineering experience; intermediate level.
• Desire to learn and adapt in a fast-moving fleet tech environment.
• Strong communication with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop fleet technology solutions, including in-house printing and wiring harnesses.
• Support prototype development, testing, and deployment activities.
• Integrate sensors, telematics, and vehicle electronics into fleet apps.
• Produce technical documentation and implementation plans.
