Job summary

Bidfood Auckland South is seeking a practical Fleet, Facilities & Asset Manager to own our fleet, buildings, plant and operational assets. This hands-on role goes beyond desk work, with on-site reviews, contractor engagement and budget oversight to keep assets compliant, safe and available.

You will review compliance schedules, investigate incidents and drive improvements across fleet, facilities and asset performance in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage a fleet of ~48 heavy vehicles and company vehicles.
• Coordinate servicing, repairs, compliance and fleet availability.
• Oversee building, grounds, refrigeration and site infrastructure maintenance.
• Oversee material handling equipment (MHE) and asset maintenance programmes.
• Coordinate contractors and service providers.
• Manage insurance claims, damage investigations and corrective actions.
• Drive health & safety, emergency management and compliance activities.
• Monitor costs, manage budgets and prepare CAPEX proposals.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reliability and asset performance.

Job description

We're looking for a practical, hands-on Fleet, Facilities & Asset Manager to take ownership of our fleet, buildings, plant and operational assets.

This is not a desk-only role. You'll be equally comfortable reviewing compliance schedules, managing contractors and budgets, investigating incidents, and getting out on site to identify issues before they become problems.

What you'll be doing

• Managing a fleet of approximately 48 heavy vehicles and company vehicles.


• Coordinating servicing, repairs, compliance and fleet availability.


• Managing building, grounds, refrigeration and site infrastructure maintenance.


• Overseeing material handling equipment (MHE) and asset maintenance programmes.


• Coordinating contractors and service providers.


• Managing insurance claims, damage investigations and corrective actions.


• Driving health & safety, emergency management and compliance activities.


• Monitoring costs, managing budgets and preparing CAPEX proposals.
