With the recent acquisition of significant new contracts in the Nelson/Tasman region our company is seeking a Facilities manager to oversee a portfolio of commercial cleaning and waste recycling contracts across multiple client sites.
This is a hands-on role working alongside our Operations Manager with responsibility for a number of employees, client relationships, health and safety, premises management/oversight, and contract performance.
Our requirements:
- While previous experience within this industry and facilities management is useful, our business fosters ongoing training encompassing the culture of our company’s ethics, team work and core operational foundations
- Our key priorities are your ability to build strong relationships with clients and employees and your ability to accurately report key performance indicators and implement improvements as required
- You ideally have:
- Strong people management abilities including performance management and conflict resolution
- Excellent client service, communication and relationship abilities
- Competent planning, reporting and administrative skills
- The ability to work independently, prioritise demands and make sound decisions under pressure
- A full and current drivers licence and the ability to regularly travel between sites
- The nature of our business will require working evening and weekend hours as required
Key responsibilities:
- Supporting our Operations Manager with high quality delivery of commercial cleaning services across multiple contract sites
- Maintain and foster client relationships through regular communication, site visits, reporting and resolution of issues
- Ensure each cleaning contract meets agreed service levels, specifications, and performance targets
- Conduct regular site inspections and quality audits, implementing corrective actions as required
- Ensure compliance with H&S, and environmental requirements
- Identify opportunities to improve operational performance, service quality and waste reduction at contract sites
- Prepare monthly reports on H&S compliance, operational performance, staffing, client feedback and sustainability results
- Support contract renewals and pursue new contract opportunities
- Respond professionally to operational issues including urgent or after-hours matters

This is a salaried position based on 30 hours per week at an annual salary of $50,250.00
Normal hours of work will be between 7am to 6pm rostered Monday to Sunday.
Your locations of work will be predominantly Richmond and Nelson properties.
