Job summary

Zero Fire is seeking a hands‑on technician to install, inspect, test, and maintain fire alarm systems across varied sites in the Waikato and Bay of Plenty region. You will ensure safe, efficient delivery of projects and support team members with your technical expertise.

You will bring a strong fire protection background, excellent communication, a proactive customer‑focused approach, and a full NZ driver’s licence. This role offers ongoing development and a supportive team culture.

Qualifications

• Solid experience in programming and fault‑finding.
• Strong technical background in fire protection systems.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Proactive, customer‑focused approach.
• Ability to work independently.
• Full, clean NZ driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, test, and maintain fire alarm systems at various sites.
• Ensure materials and equipment are ready for site work.
• Deliver quality workmanship and mentor others where needed.
• Maintain Health & Safety compliance on all sites.
• Complete documentation accurately and on time.
• Support and guide other technicians with leadership and technical expertise.
