Job summary

Fire Security Services in Whangarei, North Island, is seeking two experienced Fire Alarm Technicians to service the Northland region. You will diagnose, service and repair fire alarm faults, participate in after-hours callouts, and perform occasional installation work on NZ systems such as Pertronic, Ampac, MX and VESDA.

We require 3–5 years’ hands-on fire alarm experience, NZ knowledge of NZS 4512 and Building Act, a clean NZ driver license, good technical English, and the ability to work at

Qualifications

• 3-5 years’ hands‑on experience with fire alarm systems with at least one year working in New Zealand.
• Strong knowledge of NZS 4512, the Building Act and relevant fire alarm compliance requirements.
• NZQA Level 4 in Fire Detection and Alarm Systems, would be an advantage, but not required.
• A clean, full NZ driver license and strong problem‑solving skills.
• Confidence working at heights, with a clean criminal and driving record.
• Clear technical English and the ability to stay calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Installation work as and when required.
