Job summary

AntBank is seeking a Software Tester to validate software platforms, payment systems and integrations to ensure reliability, security and accuracy before production release. The role focuses on card issuance, wallet, transactions, databases, APIs, settlement and reconciliation, and identifying defects and data integrity issues.

The role will involve testing across web, mobile and backend components, and requires experience with REST APIs, SQL databases and test-automation concepts.

Qualifications

• A relevant qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related discipline.
• Experience in software testing, quality assurance or software development.
• Understanding of software development and testing methodologies.
• Knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Experience testing REST APIs and system integrations.
• Ability to prepare structured test cases and test reports.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to identify and reproduce complex software defects.
• Good written technical documentation skills.
• Understanding of software and data security principles.

Responsibilities

• Prepare test plans, test scenarios, test cases and test data based on business and technical requirements.
• Perform functional, integration, system, regression and user acceptance testing.
• Test web-based, mobile and backend applications.
• Identify, document and track software defects through to resolution.
• Retest corrected defects and conduct regression testing before production releases.
• Verify that delivered software meets approved business and technical requirements.
• Test APIs and system integrations with external payment systems.
• Ensure test documentation and records are maintained and ready for release-readiness reviews.
