Job summary

Centrapay in Auckland is seeking a Business Development Representative to drive revenue by generating leads, building relationships, and closing deals. You’ll manage a pipeline, qualify opportunities, and convert them into customers.

You’ll be in the field regularly visiting merchants around Auckland, working with the Head of Merchant Sales on sector approaches, and ensuring staff are confident using Centrapay QR payments.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of sales or business development experience.
• Proven ability to meet or exceed targets.
• Able to handle inbound inquiries and outbound outreach.

Responsibilities

• Handle inbound sales inquiries and manage a sales pipeline through to close
• Qualify leads, identify merchant needs, and provide solutions aligned with Centrapay's offerings
• Convert leads into customers
• Assist with pre-sales onboarding and post-sales support
• Maintain and update accurate customer and sales data
• Visit merchants in person, you'll be in the field regularly rather than desk-based
• Build sector knowledge, mapping the market and generating opportunities rather than waiting for them
• Work with the Head of Merchant Sales to develop sector-specific approaches
• Ensure merchant staff are confident taking a Centrapay QR payment
