At MTF Finance we provide asset finance and personal loans to individuals and businesses, undertaking our own lending assessments and looking for sales opportunities. We pride ourselves on making lending about people again, so critical to our success is the ability to work with customers to understand their circumstances and make sound and responsible lending decisions. This role requires sound analytical and communication skills as you’ll be engaging with customers and working collaboratively with our network and National Office. You will be responsible for managing customer dishonours and arrears.

Some of the things you'd be responsible for

• Provide clients with detailed product information and financial advice within the scope of the services offered.
• Have a comprehensive understanding of our products, creating a pathway to yes and the best outcomes for our customers within the guidelines of the Responsible Lending Code and MTF Finance guidelines.
• Adhere to all legal, regulatory, and conduct obligations, including those related to the FSP licence and product provider contracts
• Ensure that all actions and advice are in the best interest of the client and comply with industry standards
• Processing and analysing of loans through each stage of the application process and making sound lending decisions
• Many of our customers visit the branch in person, so an engaging, warm personality is vital in this role
• There’s also a fair amount of over-the-phone contact daily, so the ability to communicate fluently and naturally with confidence is important too
• Provide exceptional customer service
• Customer account arrears management
• Attend training as required by MTF Finance
• Any other duties as may be reasonably required by the employer from time to time.

You'll need to have

• Have a good understanding of responsible lending and compliance requirements. (Ideal, but not required. We will train a highly motivated Salesperson with a proven record of exceeding targets)
• Strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements in New Zealand
• Customer service and sales experience is preferred, but equally important are a positive attitude, strong energy, and passion for helping people
• A collaborative team player who can work effectively with colleagues across different departments
• Flexibility to handle varied responsibilities and adapt to changing business needs
• Be fantastic under pressure
• Able to multitask without sacrificing attention to detail

You'll need to know

• You’ll be working from our office located in Pukekohe.
• You’ll be work closely with a very small, dynamic team, contributing to both customer service excellence and broader company initiatives.
• The start date for this role is flexible and will begin as soon as you’re available.
