Job summary

Motor Trade Finance Limited is hiring a Lending and Sales Specialist in New Lynn. The role involves guiding customers from application through loan generation with a strong customer focus and proactive relationship-building across a client portfolio.

You will develop and implement sales plans, maintain compliance, and seek new business opportunities while promoting the MTF Finance brand locally. An energetic, driven self-starter with at least 2 years in lending/sales is ideal.

Qualifications

• An excellent communicator who enjoys interacting with customers and has a flexible approach when offering lending solutions.
• A proven sales closer, with a strong sales background and work ethic.
• An authentic relationship builder, with motivation to source new business leads in the community.
• Self-managed self-starter capable of creating opportunities and hitting goals.
• Minimum 2 years’ lending and/or sales experience.
• Confident working with numbers and quickly grasps new technology products.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers from first contact, assess needs, tailor products, and complete loan documents.
• Complete documentation and ensure compliance requirements are fulfilled.
• Build relationships throughout the loan journey and create further opportunities in networks.
• Advocate for the local brand and contribute to community and network success.
• Collaborate with management to develop sales plans and achieve targets with low arrears and compliance.
• Identify and service business opportunities with clients.
• Aim for portfolio growth, sales income, and profitability.
• Promote the MTF Finance brand and attend networking events as required.

About this role

As our Lending and Sales Specialist, you will be responsible for providing lending support from the application process through to loan generation. This role requires someone who is energetic, highly driven and with a strong customer focus who can establish effective professional relationships across our portfolio of clients.

As a Lending and Sales Specialist, you will be

• Working with the customer from the first point of contact, understanding the customer’s needs, adopting the applicable products, and completing the loan documents.
• Completing documentation and ensuring fulfilment of compliance requirements.
• Building customer relationships throughout their loan journey and creating further opportunities within their networks.
• Advocating for a trusted local brand, contributing to the success of our local community and the MTF Finance network.
• Work with management to develop and implement sales plans to ensure achievement of agreed objectives and sales targets, maintaining low arrears and compliance with relevant law.
• Work with management to identify and service business opportunities with clients.
• Achieve portfolio and sales income, profit and growth targets.
• Assist with the development and promotion of the MTF Finance brand in the market while professionally attending networking events as required.

Neecessary skills and experience

• An excellent communicator who enjoys interacting with customers and has a flexible approach when offering lending solutions.
• A proven sales closer, with a strong sales background and work ethic.
• An authentic relationship builder, with the motivation and drive to get out into the community and source new business leads.
• Well-versed in consumer credit with good knowledge of associated legislation is advantageous, but not essential.
• A self-managed self-starter in creating opportunities and reaching goals.
• Minimum 2 years’ lending and/or sales experience.
• Confident working with numbers and can grasp new technology products quickly.
