Job summary

EQUIP Recruitment in Hastings is seeking an experienced Finance & Payroll Administrator to join a busy finance team. Primary focus is weekly payroll for ~140 employees, with supporting duties across accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and cashbook processing.

You will receive thorough handover and training and assist with an upcoming payroll system migration project. Applicants must be NZ citizens or permanent residents.

We are seeking an experienced Finance & Payroll Administratorto join a busy and supportive finance team based in Hastings.

This is a varied role with a primary focus on processing weekly payroll for approximately 140 employees, while also providing support across accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, cashbook processing and general finance administration.

The successful candidate will receive a full handover and training period and will also assist with an upcoming payroll system migration project.

Key Requirements

• Previous NZ payroll processing experience
• Experience processing weekly payrolls
• Accounts payable and accounts receivable experience
• Strong reconciliation skills
• Good Excel and accounting software knowledge
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities

Advantageous

• Experience with MYOB Exo
• Payroll migration or implementation experience
• GST and compliance knowledge
• Inventory reconciliation experience
