Job summary

Te Taumata Trust Group is seeking a Finance Operations Coordinator to manage day-to-day financial activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, banking, reconciliations, payroll administration support and month-end prep.

You will work closely with the Finance Manager and team to keep records accurate, complete and audit-ready while contributing to a high-performing, kaupapa Māori environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in finance operations, AP/AR or reconciliations.
• Strong numeracy and attention to detail.
• Payroll administration experience is desirable.
• Experience with Xero or similar systems.
• Proficient with Excel and Microsoft 365.
• An understanding of te reo Māori me ōna tikanga and kaupapa Māori environments.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day financial operations including AP, AR and banking.
• Assist with reconciliations and month-end preparation.
• Provide payroll administration support where needed.
• Maintain audit-ready transaction records in a close-knit team.

Te Taumata is a leadership organisation established by and for Ngāti Whakaue, working across education, te reo Māori, housing development and social wellbeing. The role

As Finance Operations Coordinator, you'll coordinate the day to day financial operations of the Te Taumata Trust Group, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, banking, reconciliations, payroll administration support and month-end preparation.

You'll work in a high performing, close nit team, side by side with the Finance Manager, Management Accountant and Finance Systems and Reporting Coordinator, keeping transaction records accurate, complete and audit ready.

What you'll bring

• Experience in finance operations, accounts payable, accounts receivable or reconciliations
• Good numeracy and strong attention to detail
• Experience supporting payroll administration is desirable
• Working knowledge of Xero, ApprovalMax or similar systems
• Confidence using Microsoft 365, particularly Excel
• Understanding of te reo Māori me ōna tikanga and the ability to work respectfully in kaupapa Māori environments
