Job summary

Te Taumata has recently completed a significant organisational reset. As Finance Manager, you will lead our finance team of three, owning day-to-day running of the function, including management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, controls and audit readiness.

You will set the standard for finance operations, coach the team, and provide timely, accurate information to leadership and governance to support meaningful outcomes for Ngāti Whakaue.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a finance function or team, ideally in a multi-entity or contract-funded environment.
• Strong capability in management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, month-end disciplines and internal controls.
• A relevant accounting or finance qualification; CA/CPA or equivalent membership would be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day running of the finance function, including reporting, budgeting, forecasting and controls.
• Lead the finance team and coach staff to deliver timely, accurate outputs.
• Support audit readiness and governance reporting for leadership and stakeholders.

The role

As Finance Manager,you'lllead our finance team of three:aManagement Accountantand twoFinancecoordinators. You willown the day to day running of the finance function,includingmanagement reporting, budgeting, forecasting, financial controls, and audit readiness.

This is ahands-on operationalleadership.Working closely with the Financial Controller, youset the standard for how financeoperates, coachand developyour team,review key outputs,andensure informationrelied on byleadership and governance isaccurate,timelyanduseful.
