Job summary

Find Recruitment in Auckland, New Zealand, is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead a four-person finance team in a large, fast-paced project-driven environment. This hands-on role partners with senior operational leaders to drive financial performance, improve project profitability and deliver meaningful commercial insights.

You will own project accounting, reporting, forecasting and cost management, and will lead reporting automation and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience leading finance teams on large, complex projects.
• Strong financial modelling and commercial analysis.
• Knowledge of project accounting and IFRS 15.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of four, ensuring strong financial reporting, commercial support and accountability.
• Oversee project accounting, including WIP, revenue recognition, IFRS 15, project costing and margin analysis.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, cost-to-complete analysis and financial modelling across multiple projects and contracts.
• Partner with senior operational leaders to improve contract profitability, cost control and commercial performance.
• Lead month-end reporting, balance sheet management and audit.
• Develop and automate financial reporting, dashboards and processes.
• Identify financial risks, cost recovery opportunities and areas for improved project performance.
• Provide commercial analysis and modelling to support pricing, contract negotiations and strategic decisions.
