This large-scale, fast-paced New Zealand business plays a key role in keeping the country connected, delivering telecommunications infrastructure, network construction, ICT solutions and essential services nationwide. With a substantial national footprint and a diverse portfolio of complex infrastructure and delivery projects, the business is looking for an experienced Finance Manager to lead the financial performance of its Project Delivery division.
Reporting to a senior finance leader and managing a team of four, this is a hands-on, commercially focused role with responsibility for a $100m plus portfolio spanning major telecommunications and infrastructure projects, including mobile network builds, fibre infrastructure and network integration. Working closely with the Chief Delivery Officer and Programme Leads, you'll play a key role in driving project profitability, improving financial visibility and addressing cost overruns across the portfolio. This is a broad role combining technical project accounting, end-to-end financial management, commercial business partnering and people leadership. You'll need to be equally comfortable getting into the detail of project costs and WIP as you are presenting financial insights and challenging operational stakeholders.
You'll be an experienced Finance Manager, Commercial Finance Manager or Senior Finance Business Partner with a strong background in project-based construction, telecommunications, engineering or infrastructure environments. Importantly, you'll understand the financial complexities of delivering large-scale projects and contracts, including revenue recognition, WIP, direct costs, project margins and forecasting.
This is an opportunity to take ownership of a significant project delivery portfolio within a well-established New Zealand business, with genuine scope to influence commercial performance, strengthen financial processes and develop a capable finance team. You'll work closely with senior business leaders on complex, high-value infrastructure projects where your financial expertise and commercial input will make a tangible difference.
An attractive salary package of $150,000-$155,000 plus additional benefits, including medical and life insurance and staff concessions, is on offer.
