Job summary

Momentum Consulting’s New Zealand client is seeking a Finance Manager to lead the finance team and support the CFO in driving financial integrity in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. You will oversee day-to-day accounting, deliver timely monthly and annual reports, and ensure strong internal controls across the business.

Applicants will be CAANZ-qualified with senior-level experience, exceptional communication, and a proactive approach to process improvements, budgeting, forecasting and tax

Reporting to the CFO, the role of Finance Manager is crucial in ensuring the smooth day to day running of the finance team and maintaining integrity and compliance in this high transaction business.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing leadership, inspiring and empowering the team to deliver outstanding service
  • Manage the day to day financial and general accounting operations for the business
  • Ensuring the delivery of accurate and timely monthly and annual financial reports
  • Work collaboratively with the CFO and Reporting Manager for budgeting, forecasting and financial planning
  • Maintain strong financial controls to mitigate risk
  • Oversight of financial reviews/audits, IRD interactions, taxation oversight and internal controls
  • Key contributor on finance projects and process improvement

You will need to have a natural affinity with systems and preferably experience with process improvements.
