Job summary

Tyler Wren in Auckland seeks a senior finance leader to head the finance function, driving month-end close, budgeting and FP&A enhancements. You will ensure regulatory compliance and leverage Microsoft Business Central to streamline reporting, partnering with the CFO to shape strategic decisions.

The role requires 8–10 years in NZ financial services, CA/CPA, and proven people leadership in a dynamic, hands-on environment.

• CA or CPA qualified
• Experience with Microsoft Business Central

About the Role

• Lead, mentor and develop the finance team, fostering accountability and initiative
• Drive month end, budgeting and FP&A improvements to enhance financial performance
• Ensure financial control and regulatory compliance, including GST, FBT, and income tax
• Optimise systems and reporting through Microsoft Business Central and process improvements
• Partner with the CFO to provide commercial insight and support strategic decision making

About You

• 8 to 10 years of commercial experience in a NZ financial services business with experience with auto lending
• CA or CPA qualified
• Ideally experience with Microsoft Business Central
• Experienced people leader who can bring a team on a journey and influence outcomes
• Proactive, commercially minded and confident making recommendations
• Comfortable in a dynamic environment and willing to roll up your sleeves
