Job summary

Frog Recruitment in New Zealand is seeking a Sales Engineer to grow technical aftersales opportunities across NZ and the Pacific. You will build strong customer relationships, understand technical requirements, and manage opportunities from lead to order, collaborating with sales, service and parts teams.

You will receive mentoring while expanding product knowledge, with potential to take on greater responsibility as you develop in a growing global engineering organisation.

Qualifications

• Professional engineering qualification in mechanical, marine, power generation, or process engineering.
• Sales capability with understanding of the sales funnel.
• Strong customer relationship, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Auckland-based with permanent working rights and ability to travel domestically and overseas.

Responsibilities

• Develop and grow technical aftersales opportunities across NZ and the Pacific.
• Build trusted relationships with customers and understand their technical requirements.
• Manage leads and opportunities through the sales funnel to contract closure.
• Prepare quotations and tenders in collaboration with internal technical teams.
• Develop account plans and identify opportunities within customer relationships.
• Work closely with sales, service and spare parts teams to deliver customer outcomes.
• Maintain accurate CRM information and sales reporting.
• Represent the business at customer visits, industry forums and events.

• Professional engineering qualification in mechanical, marine, power generation, process engineering or a closely aligned discipline
• Sales capability with an understanding of the sales funnel and how to progress opportunities
• Strong customer relationship, communication and stakeholder management skills
• Sales Engineer, technical aftersales or account management experience would be advantageous
• Comfortable learning technical products and preparing quotations or tenders
• Auckland-based with permanent working rights in New Zealand and comfortable travelling domestically and overseas
