Job summary

Liebherr Earthmoving Division in Tauranga is seeking an experienced technician to diagnose faults and repair a wide range of earthmoving equipment. You will service wheel loaders, excavators, and material handlers, while maintaining customer relationships in the field.

Based in Tauranga, you will travel to customer sites, conduct major/minor services, and ensure safety standards are followed, with excellent hourly pay and overtime as part of the package.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in a relevant field.
• 1+ year of relevant experience.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites and work overtime.
• Basic Word and Excel skills.
• Commitment to safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Diagnostics and troubleshooting of mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Perform major and minor services and sensor checks.
• Maintain and replace components as required.
• Fabrication and new machine builds as needed.
• Complete service reporting and manufacturer documentation.
• Engage with customers on-site and manage relationships.
• Adhere to safety guidelines in all tasks.

Can you work independently and carry out major repairs on earthmoving equipment accurately and diagnose faults? Are you looking to join an OEM known for high performance machinery? Liebherr Earthmoving Division has an opportunity for an experienced and motivated technician to be based in our Tauranga Branch.

In this role you will maintain and repair a broad range of our equipment including wheel loaders, material handlers and excavators for our growing customer base.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnostics and troubleshooting of Mechanical, Hydraulic and Electrical systems
• Major and minor services
• Maintenance and component replacements
• Fabrication and new machine build as required
• Complete service reporting and manufacturers documentation
• Expand and maintain customer relationships in the field
• Dealing directly with Key Customers
• Adhere to safety guidelines in the workplace

Skills & Experience:

About you

• Relevant trade qualification and at least 1 year relevant work experience
• Strong diagnostic skills and fault-finding ability
• Flexibility to travel to customer sites and work over-time as required
• Forklift and Air conditioning accreditation advantageous
• Basic Word and Excel abilities
• Commitment to maintain, and adhere to safety guidelines in the workplace
