Job summary

Franklin Smith requires an experienced Excavator Operator for outdoor earthmoving work on civil projects in West Coast, NZ. You will operate excavators and related plant, prepare sites, and carry out loading and spreading tasks with a focus on safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years full-time excavator operator experience on commercial or civil projects.
• NZ citizen or resident required.
• Must be able to pass police check and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and position plant for operation.
• Select and attach buckets, winches, scoops and hammers.
• Operate controls to excavate, level, load and spread materials.
• Monitor plant performance and safety for others on site.
• Maintain and refuel equipment and perform minor repairs.
• Travel to different regions for projects as required.
