Job summary

Successful candidates must be NZ citizens or residents with at least 3 years of full-time excavator experience, and hold a valid Class 2 license.

Qualifications

• NZ citizen or resident with 3+ years excavator operator experience on commercial or civil projects.
• Valid Class 2 (or higher) driver's license.
• Must pass police check and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and position plant for operation.
• Fit and remove attachments (buckets, rock breakers, etc.).
• Operate controls to excavate, move, load and compact materials.
• Monitor plant operation and safety of others.
• Relocate attachments using manual/hydraulic controls.
• Work from drawings or verbal instructions.
• Service, lubricate and refuel plant and perform minor adjustments.
