Job summary

Fire Security Services in Whangarei (North Island) is seeking a Compliance Technician to visit customer sites across Northland for fire system testing and NZ Standards compliance. You will use mobile data entry and report results to the office daily.

We require NZ residency, a clean NZ driver’s license and 3+ years’ NZ fire/building compliance experience. Training and career progression options are provided in a nationwide, privately owned company.

Qualifications

• Motivated attitude and desire to learn.
• Integrity, initiative, and reliable work ethic.
• Clean NZ driver’s license.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in Fire & Building Compliance in NZ (preferred).
• Working knowledge of NZ Standards and the Building Act.
• NZQA Systems Technology Level 3 (or willingness to complete it).
• New Zealand residency.
• Ideally based in Whangarei.

Responsibilities

• Testing and surveying fire alarms, sprinkler systems, emergency lighting, passive protection, and handheld fire equipment and other specified systems.
• All data is entered into a mobile device and sent to the office electronically.
• Ensuring all systems meet NZ Standards and the Building Act.
• Deliver a safe, accurate, and professional compliance services.
