Job summary

Fire Security Services in Auckland, North Island, seeks a Compliance Technician who travels to customer sites across the region to test fire alarms, sprinklers, emergency lighting, passive protection, and handheld equipment, ensuring NZ Standards compliance.

This full‑time role (40 hours/week, Mon–Fri) requires at least 2 years of NZ Fire & Building Compliance experience, a clean NZ driver’s license, NZ residency, and NZQA Level 3 in Systems Technology or willingness to complete it;

Qualifications

• Integrity, initiative and a reliable work ethic.
• NZ residency and clean NZ driver’s license.
• Working knowledge of NZ Standards and the Building Act.
• Hold NZQA Systems Technology Level 3 (or willingness to complete).

Responsibilities

• Test and survey fire alarms, sprinklers, emergency lighting, passive protection and handheld fire equipment.
• Ensure all systems meet NZ Standards and the Building Act.
• Deliver safe, accurate and professional compliance services at customer sites.
