Job summary

RealNZ is seeking a hands-on Deckhand to join our maritime team on Stewart Island. You will work a 4-on, 4-off roster, assisting with luggage, freight, line handling, and supporting safe vessel operation while delivering memorable journeys for guests.

The role requires Maritime experience, a full NZ drivers license, and excellent communication and customer service skills. A forklift licence is an advantage, and experience on the Foveaux Strait is a bonus.

Home to the famous Bluff oyster fishery, the Foveaux Strait offers a rugged, unforgettable experience - and we're on the lookout for qualified, sea-hardy crew to join our close-knit team.

As a valued member of our maritime crew, you'll help deliver memorable journeys for our guests. From serving food and drinks to sharing local stories and keeping the vessel shipshape, your energy and professionalism will shine through.

This is a hands-on, physically active role based on Stewart Island, working a 4-on, 4-off roster. You'll assist with luggage, freight, line handling, and support the safe operation of the vessel.

What You'll Bring

• Maritime experience and a love for the sea
