RealNZ is seeking a motivated stoker to join the crew aboard the TSS Earnslaw, based on Lake Wakatipu in Queenstown. You will hand-fuel the fires and operate the engines and boilers that power the vessel, while engaging with guests about its history and workings.
No prior certification is required as training will be provided; expect early shifts and a hands-on role across operations from decks to dishes as needed.

As a vital member of our team, you'll take on the role of a stoker, responsible for hand-fuelling the fires and operating the engine & boilers that power the TSS Earnslaw.You will provide fuel for the TSS Earnslaw's fireboxes, attend to the boilers, engines, and auxiliary equipment, and respond to guest queries about the history and workings of the TSS Earnslaw.
Worried about not having the right certificates or prior experience? Don't be, we will train you from scratch, and before long you will be getting stuck in anywhere you are needed and be able to assist in all operations of the boat, from decks to dishes.
