Job summary

Longreach Dairies is seeking a hands-on dairy farm worker to join our team in Te Awamutu, NZ. You will milk 1,000 cows twice daily, move calves, feed livestock and assist with fence work and general duties. A good attitude, calm around cows, and clear English are essential.

You’ll live in a three-bedroom, fully furnished staff house on the farm with no commute. Rent is NZ$150 per week, including power, internet and firewood. A valid work visa is required.

Holy Cow! If you're looking for a job outside, working with animals then this is the job for you!

We have 1,000 cruisy cows that we milk twice a day. There are cows to milk, calves to move, cows to feed, fences to put up/down and general jobs to be done. You need experience working on a dairy farm and a good attitude, to be calm around cows, speak english well enough to be understood by the team, not frightened of a day's work and enjoy helping out your workmates.

You will share a three bedroom, fully furnished staff house on farm, so no commute here! It is just under 10 minutes drive to Te Awamutu (the closest town) and 15 minutes drive to Cambridge. Pay is negotiable based on experience, rent is $150 a week which includes power, internet and firewood. You MUST have a work visa, please do not apply if you don't.

Start date asap, with a minimum commitment of 3 months. It takes a while for us to train you :)
